Create your account and get started

CourseCadence is a semester planner: it reads your syllabi and puts every class, graded item and study session on one calendar. Anyone can sign up in the web app at coursecadence.app with an email address. Once you're in, add a course from your syllabus.

#Sign up with an email link

1. Go to coursecadence.app. The Sign in to your planner page opens.

2. Next to Don’t have an account?, click Sign up.

3. Enter your First name and (optional) Last name.

4. Enter your Email, then enter it again in Confirm email.

5. Click Create account with email link.

   The Check your email page shows the address the link was sent to.

6. Open the email from CourseCadence on the same device, and click the link in it.

CourseCadence signs you in and sets up your account. See Start your free trial for what comes next.

If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam or promotions folder. After the countdown on Resend in finishes, click Resend email. To fix a typo in your address, click Use a different email.

Note: When you sign up, the email has a link only. The 6-digit Sign-in code is for later sign-ins. See Sign in and sign out.

#Sign up with a password instead

1. On the Create your account page, click Sign up with a password instead.
2. Enter your name, Email and Confirm email.
3. Enter a Password of at least 8 characters with at least one number, then enter it again in Confirm password.
4. Click Create account.
5. On the Check your email page, open the email from CourseCadence and click the link to confirm your address.

The sign-in page opens and says Email confirmed. Sign in with your new account. Click Use password instead, enter your email and password, and click Sign in.

You can also sign up with Continue with Google.

#Start your free trial

The first time you sign in, CourseCadence shows Welcome to CourseCadence and Setting up your account… for a moment. It saves your name and your browser's time zone. You can change both later in Profile settings.

The Keep your semester on course page then opens.

1. Under Not ready to choose a plan?, click Decide later — start 1-month free trial.

   The page shows Free trial active and the date your trial ends. No card is needed.

2. Click Continue setup.

Your dashboard opens. To pay for a plan instead, choose one from the plans on the same page.

#Find your way around the dashboard

Until you add a course, the dashboard welcomes you by first name and says Let’s set up your semester. It has three parts:

• Add your first course: drop a syllabus on the card or click Upload syllabus. See Add a course from your syllabus.
• No syllabus yet?: click Add a course by hand. See Add a course by hand.
• Get set up: a checklist of three steps, Add your first course, Check your follow-ups and Plan your week, with how many are done.

Once you add a course, the dashboard shows your week, your courses and what's coming up next.
